The American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers program, trains professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel can arrive and take over.

What is the class format like?

This program is offered in a blended learning format, with training that consists of online learning and instructor-led skill sessions.

How long does it take to complete the course?

The blended learning course takes between 3 to 4 hours to complete. The skills sessions depend upon how many students in the class and how quickly the content is learned, but is typically completed in about 1 ½ hours.

Are there any requirements or skills necessary?

After registering for this course, you will receive an email with a link to the online course. The online portion must be completed prior to the skills session being taken.

What certifications will I receive?

Successful completion results in a 2-year certification in first aid, professional-level CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. Digital certificates are also available.
